What is an instant quote calculator?

A quote calculator is a tool on your website that turns a customer’s choices into a price there and then, using your own pricing rules. It’s for trades and product businesses that quote the same kinds of job again and again, and a simple calculator starts from £500.

Two calculators, and what they produced

For Castia Marble, the instant-quote calculator produced £6,559,011 in worktop quotes from November 2025 to September 2026, tracked in Google Ads. That’s quote value, not sales: a quote only counts when a customer has priced a job and left their details.

For frameless-showers.co.uk, the shower designer and instant quote produced £160,000 in shower quotes from the spring 2026 launch to September 2026, tracked in Google Ads. That’s quote value, not sales.

What you get

A calculator built around the way you already price.

  • A calculator on your own website, built around your products and pricing rules.
  • An instant price for the customer, and their details for you when they ask for the quote.
  • Rules for the awkward parts, such as sizes, options and the clearances a product needs.
  • Hosting, software and fixes while the monthly running cost is in place, at about £50 a month.

How it works

A simple calculator typically goes live from one week, depending on complexity.

  1. Tell us how you price

The choices a customer makes, the rules behind your prices and what you need to know before you quote.

  2. We build it into your website

It sits on the site you already have, as Castia’s does at castiamarble.co.uk/quote, so customers price the job without leaving it.

  3. Customers price their own jobs

They get a price there and then, and you get their details with the job they priced.

Questions before you start

How much does it cost?
A simple calculator starts from £500, plus about £50 a month to run. A calculator with more options and rules costs more.
How long does it take to go live?
From one week, depending on complexity.
Do I own it?
Yes. You own everything we build, including the accounts and the data.
Can I change it myself?
Mostly, yes. We set things up so that most clients can make changes themselves, and we show you how it works.
What happens if it breaks?
While the monthly running cost is in place, we fix it. Without it, you can pay for a one-off fix. The monthly cost covers hosting, software and fixes, normally with a six-month minimum term.
